The Droid, it self…

This is the first post, outside the BBS and the reason is, because i would like to show some photos of the system setup, with the Raspberry Pi. 🙂 The BBS is hosted inside a Raspberry Pi 0 W, with a 16GB sdcard. Nothing much… but compared to the old BBSes, this system is high-tech stuff… 🙂

I built a small enclosure for the Pi, because sitting there, on my PC was ugly and pritty dangerous too. I had some components from another project of mine (with a RPi3), so i throw them on it and this is the result. I put three buttons and a NOKIA lcd. The two black buttons are to scroll between screens of various information and the red one, for shutting down the RPi, properly, with out the need to use SSH.

 

The case, are scrap materials (card board and plexi glass) and the artistic touch, from my daughter. 🙂 It goes with the theme… 😉 In all screens you can see info, about the temperature of the RPi, the WiFi network and the IP, for technical reasons. The main screen has a simple digital clock.

The second screen, displays the info from the ONELINERS.DAT file of MysticBBS. Whatever you write on the Oneliners inside the BBS, i can read it, without even the need to login 🙂

The third and last (for now) screen, is the LASTCALLERS.DAT file info, so i can see who logged last and watch the traffic on the BBS.
